Microblading treatment is truly revolutionary. Brows are created strand by strand, resulting in the most natural-looking results — 3D, perfectly filled-in, symmetrical brows. Shapes and colors are fully custom to your facial structure and preference.
There is no downtime, however brows will take about two weeks to fully heal. They may appear darker following the procedure, then lighten to the desired color within two weeks. Between the initial treatment and the 5-week Perfecting Session, you may experience some peeling (typically only noticeable up close) and fading. At your follow-up, anything needing attention or any loss of pigment during healing will be addressed. This is expected and a natural part of the treatment process.
Results will last up to 1–5 years, depending on post-care guidelines followed and the client’s skin type.
Microblading can last anywhere from 1–3 years. Permanent Cosmetics can last 3–5 years, depending on lifestyle. Color will gradually lighten and soften due to UV sun exposure. Anti-aging skin products should be avoided in the brow area.
Proper maintenance and following post-care guidelines are recommended to increase the longevity of your brow color.
- You may wear makeup if desired, and bring your favourite brow products.
- If any tweezing or waxing is to be done, complete this no earlier than 72 hours prior to your appointment. Electrolysis should be done no earlier than 7 days prior. Do not resume any method of hair removal for 14 days following the procedure.
- If eyebrows are normally tinted, have this done no less than 72 hours before your procedure.
- No alcohol 72 hours before your procedure. If you drink coffee, limit to 1 cup and avoid all blood-thinning medications for 72 hours prior.
Always wash your hands before doing any aftercare.
- Day 1: Wipe your treated area 1–2 hours after the procedure with a cold, lightly damp sterile cloth. Your brows may produce a yellowish/clear fluid — this is Lymphatic Liquid (plasma) and is completely normal as your skin heals.
- Day 2: Let brows heal and seal in color. Keep the area dry and protected.
- Days 3–10: Brows may start to scab and become flaky. Apply a very small amount of ointment once a day in the morning, leaving only a light residue to keep the area slightly moist and reduce itching (do not over-lubricate).
Keep the area dry. Avoid: hot steamy showers, high-pressure water on the treated area, hot tubs, physical sweating, hot yoga, chlorine pools, and all forms of tanning. When sleeping, avoid rubbing your face on your pillow — this is especially important during healing.
Please be patient and allow your Permanent Cosmetics to heal. Color intensity will initially appear sharper, brighter, darker, and somewhat larger due to swelling. It takes a minimum of 10–14 days for the true color and shape to appear, with a 20–50% lightening/softening of brows. Some missed spots or unevenness of pigment may occur — don’t be alarmed. This is the perfect time to note any color or design changes before your touch-up.
